Business owners - Establish your online credibility by setting up a profile on ur2rn.com and list your goods and services in our classifieds. The classified directory will be the heart of our search engine as well as other search engines across the Internet. By having your profile associated with your advertisement, your listing will be much more personal and credible than you can find on other search engines.
Business owners without websites - Your approach is the same as above, with the addition of getting a businessname.com website and pointing it to any page that you create on ur2rn.com. You'll save thousands over developing a traditional website and get exactly the same result.
Do you need a Website. YES
In 99% of small businesses and individual cases, a simple site with your relevant information is all that is needed. A website alone will not result in a major increase in business, but you CANNOT afford to lose even a single customer because they did a search on the Internet and couldn't find your phone number or location but did locate your competitor. There just isn't the need to spend a large sum to get a fancy website.
Below are instruction for both those with existing websites, and those that would like to add credibility to your brick and mortar business by establishing your online .COM presence.
Step 1
Join ur2rn.com if you haven't already so you can point your new domain name to your page. Fill out your profile with what you feel is appropriate for potential customers to learn about you when they find you in our or other search engines.
Step 2
On ur2rn.com while logged in, click >Classifieds - >Create classified add. Select the appropriate category and subcategory and fill in the remainder of the form. Select to post to club if you joined a local geographic club after you joined. Details on this are provided at the bottom of the page every time you log in. For classified ad URL and Title, Make these your business name. This will aid in search engines finding you. For the full description field, use the provided editor to enter all the details of your business and or services. If you use any common word processor program making your details look fancy will come natural. That's all there is to it. You can always edit your ad, create new adds for specific products or services, or even create a blog for more frequent updates of your business offerings or expertise. You can even ad events to your local geographic club calendar.
Step 3 (Create a New Domain name if you don't have one)
Go to Lock & Key Internet Services Hosting and choose your domain name. Your business name should be used if it's not too long and complicated. You can get your domain name for several years and save yourself the aggravation of renewing every year if you wish. You can even add an email account to your domain at this point if you wish to impress your customers with a yourname@yourdomain.com email address. Multiple years, email accounts, and other services are available, but are totally optional. If you are worried about privacy, make sure to check out private registration for your domain. (Privacy on ur2rn itself will always be controlled by what info you choose to publish in your profile setup)
Step 4
Once you have your domain name, login to your account to manage your domain and select (domain forwarding). Now enter the url of your profile, blog, or any page you have created as your forwarding url address. (simply open your profile or blog and copy the url path from the address bar in your browser)
Step 5
We recommend setting your url redirect as a 301 redirect in your domain manager. This helps the search engines index your information. Complete instructions are provided during this process should you have any questions.
